Well-preserved Roman knife used in surgical operations. Dated to 2nd BCE – 4th century CE.
The handle made of bronze was designed in such a way that the thumb and the first two fingers made it possible to grip the knife securely – now knives are made similarly. Unfortunately, the tip of the blade is missing in the artefact.
