Ancient tombstone of Lucius Aelius Melitinos, the youngest son of Myron and Felicula. The baby’s name – Melitinos – means “sweet as honey” in Greek.
On the tombstone we can read that the child lived for 13 months and 9 days. Moreover, the stone included a request in Greek and Latin from the parents not to disturb the grave. The object dates back to the 2nd century CE and is located in the Capitoline Museums in Rome.
