Chariot race on a Roman mosaic discovered in Spain. Spina looks very interesting – foundation in the middle of the arena. Various ornaments hung on the spina, such as statues, obelisks, shrines and two porticos. The mosaic also shows that the spina was filled with water.

The marble Roman base of the fountain decorated with shells and heads of dogs. These types of buildings adorned Roman villas. Dated to 1st-2nd century CE; now they are in the British Museum.

Roman sculpture depicting a figure in toga. The object is dated to the 1st century CE and was found in Domus Romana in Malta.

A marble statue depicting emperor Septimius Severus in military clothing found in Alexandria (Egypt). The object is located in the British Museum; dated to 2nd – 3rd century CE.

Roman copper bucket discovered in the area where the ancient Ta ‘Gawhar tower in Malta was located. Currently, you can admire it in the Domus Romana in Malta. The artefact is dated to 1st BCE – 1st century CE.

Marble bust of emperor Antoninus Pius, dressed in a military uniform, from the middle of the 2nd century CE. Scientists believe that the object could have been created during the early reign of the emperor (around 140 CE); could also be a replica.

Ancient burial chamber in the catacombs of St. Paul in Malta. These types of chambers were usually located at a depth of 1.5 to 2 meters, but there were also chambers at a depth of 6 meters.
