Roman phalerae made of bronze
Made of bronze Roman phalerae (only in the plural in Latin. The object dates back to the 2nd century CE.
Phalerae were round medallions that were worn as ornaments and as rewards for courage in battle. They were worn on the chest, over the armour/outfit, and attached to belts.
