Wonderfully preserved portrait of boy named Eutyches
Fayum portrait showing a boy named Eutyches. The object is dated from 100-150 CE and comes from Roman Egypt.
The painting is really beautifully preserved. It was made on wood and was placed with the embalmed corpse to the grave.
