In Anavarza in southern Turkey, it is likely that a gladiatorial tomb from Roman times was found. If that were true, it was one of the few discovered tombs of this type from antiquity.

The probable tomb is located near the remains of an ancient amphitheatre. Scientists expect to find human remains that will confirm the archaeologists’ assumptions and will tell more about the diet and life of these people.
