Restored building in Pompeii

Six ancient buildings in Pompeii, which had undergone renovation work since 2012, could finally be put on public display. The official inauguration took place on Christmas Day in the presence of Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

Within just two days of opening the attractions, the city was visited by almost 13,000 tourists. The renovation works were funded from a project subsidized by the European Union in the amount of approximately EUR 3 million. Below are some photos.
