Remains of a Roman necropolis have been found in southern Spain
In southern Spain, in the city of Antequera, the remains of a Roman necropolis were found, which date back to the 1st-2nd century CE.
Traces of 54 burials were discovered in the cemetery. In one of them, a lead sarcophagus was found with the remains of two teenagers and a three-month-old infant. In others, the bones of a girl and a four-month-old baby were discovered.
In addition to human remains, glass vessels, statuettes, oil lamps and coins were discovered.
