Two Roman mosaics have been discovered in central Italy

Two Roman mosaics and the foundations of an ancient building have been discovered in via Sant’Antonio in Teramo (central Italy). The discovery took place during the renovation of a modern road.

According to the researchers, the object was probably a domus from the times of the Roman Empire – probably the 1st century CE. The mosaics are kept in black and white colors. One of them has a floral motif, and the other has a chessboard motif.
