The head of Serapis, made of Egyptian alabaster, was found in the 19th century during the construction of the Tiber quay, near the Garibaldi Bridge, next to the Tiber Island. The sculpture is in the Palazzo Altemps museum in Rome.

The object is dated to the 2nd century CE.
