Ancient temple, which was mistakenly attributed to Juno (hence the name Temple of Juno Latina – Juno Lacinia), due to the preserved Latin inscription. The building was built on a natural platform and dates back to the middle of the 5th century BCE. It is a Greek building. The temple is located in the so-called Valley of the Temples in the central part of Sicily, in Agrigento (Roman Agrigentum, Greek Akragas).
The columns were made in the Doric order; there are six of them at the front and rear of the building; on the sides, there are thirteen. On the eastern side, there are remains of a monumental altar. The dimensions of the temple are approx. 38 by 17 meters.
The building has red rocks, which, according to researchers, maybe a trace of a fire that broke out in Akragas, in 406 BCE. The Carthaginians captured the city.
