In 2021, a Roman structure with beautiful frescoes was discovered in Verona (northern Italy). The discovery took place during the renovation works carried out on the premises of the abandoned Astra cinema.

According to the researchers, the object is dated to the 2nd century CE. The roof of the building must have collapsed after it was consumed by a fire – the evidence of this is the preserved remains of burnt wood.
