The remains of the Roman baths in the city of Patara (southern Turkey) will be made available to visitors for viewing next year. They were one of the first thermal baths that were built in the region during the Roman times.
In late August, there was an act of vandalism on the ruins of the Roman amphitheatre in Caerleon (Wales). Graffiti was discovered on the stone, which is another illegal and punishable destruction of the monument. The police are looking for the perpetrators.
From July 25 to August 29 in 2020, there will be night tours in Colosseum every Saturday. The tour takes about an hour and starts in the arena. Tourists will see, among others the underground, where gladiators and animals were kept, or the first level of the amphitheatre.
At the National Archaeological Museum in Ferrara (northern Italy) from Thursday, November 15, the effects of the new project will be presented. The use of the newest 3D technology and computer graphics will bring Spina residents 2000 years ago back to life.
