On the Sardinian coast, near the city of Olbia, in 2018 the remains of an Etruscan center dating back to the 9th century BCE were found.
The discovery was made by accident during the research work of scientists. The find proves that Etruscans were a people closely related to the sea that controlled the sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea before the Roman expansion.
