Roman coins (3rd-4th centuries CE) have been discovered in South Wales, Monmouthshire, vessels from various periods of the Iron Age; including an interesting find with an ornament in the shape of an ox’s head.
According to the researchers, Roman artifacts found in the vicinity may prove that the site of the discovery was once a forgotten ancient settlement. It is worth mentioning that all the finds were dug out of the ground near the ancient Roman city of Caerwent.
The National Museum of Wales in Cardiff is interested in purchasing the artifacts.
