In the city of Doliche (Turkey), scientists have discovered the remains of Roman therms. The underfloor heating and mosaic system has survived to our times.
Baths were built in the 2nd or 3rd century CE and they were publicly available. According to the specialist, the complex ceased to be used already in the 4th century CE. It happened because of the constant wars in the region and the economic crisis. Researchers also found church ruins, what is a rare find in the region and proves that this place was certainly undergoing an intense process of Christianization.
