Roman bronze Triton from circa 2nd century CE. It was perhaps a fitting from a ship.
Triton was the son of Neptune (Poseidon), who had the upper part of the human and the lower part of the animal body. He was shown either with the tail of fish or as a centaur with a pair of hooves.
