The preserved remains of the Roman road, called the “Amber Road”, in the Hungarian city of Szombathely, in the west of the country.

In Roman times, the town of Savaria (Colonia Claudia Savaria) was located here, through which one of the branches of the amber route ran. At the beginning of the 2nd century CE Savaria became the capital of the province of Upper Panonia.

The remains of the road are located under one of the office buildings. Nowadays, a beautiful Roman monument can be admired through the glass floor.
