A beautiful Roman earring with a man’s face. The object is made of gold and semi-precious stone and has pearl pendants. The face shown in the profile is an agate cameo.
The artefact is dated to the 3rd century CE and was found in one of the graves dug in the related Viminacium, a Roman city not far from the current city of Kostolac (eastern Serbia). The object is located in the museum in Požarevac.
