Archaeologists came across three skeletons from Roman times in Lincoln (north-east of England), where student housing is to be built.
Interestingly, in 2015, 23 Roman skeletons were discovered in a nearby place. Scientists believe that the latest find is part of that 3 years ago.
In one of the graves was a jug from the end of the 4th century, which was probably filled with a drink that was to be used by the deceased on the way after his death. According to the researchers, all bone remains belonged to men. The other two bodies were buried in the Christian style, i.e. without any additional artefacts.
According to archaeologists, four Roman cemeteries are known in Lincoln.
