Rare gold coin of Bosporan Kingdom was found

In the territory of Kuban (south-western Russia, near the Crimea), archaeologists found a rare gold coin, which was created in the 27-28 CE, when the Bosporan Kingdom existed.
The coin is a stater that was in circulation of the Kingdom, which included the area of the eastern Crimea, the Taman peninsula, the Anapa region, Novorossiysk, the lower Kuban area, the eastern Azova area and the Don delta.

The Bosporan Kingdom was a dependent country from Rome. In the year 8 BCE Aspurgus ascended the throne and founded the dynasty, which ruled until the 4th century CE (with brakes). During the reign of Nero, the Kingdom area was even incorporated into the Roman Empire as part of Lower Moesia (63-68 CE).
