In central Bulgaria, a discovery was made in 2016. A team of archaeologists has found three late Roman graves beneath the Ostrusha mound. Thracian aristocrats who integrated into Roman society were buried in graves.
A team of researchers led by Diana Dimitrova found two graves containing skeletons; and one with the cremated body of a person who was buried with several items, including a jug of wine and Roman bronze coins, dated 335-378 CE.
