Discovered Roman ruins in Devon, England. Scientists believe that it may be part of a large military complex that supported Roman conquests in today’s Wales.

The remains of Roman barracks were discovered during construction work for a new car park. The site is located very close to the recently discovered Roman supply base and the road stretching from (possibly) Topsham Harbor.

Scientists hope that the find will turn out to be the largest military complex of the 1st century CE in Britain. Archaeologists suspect that the camp may have provided supplies to the Roman forces conquering the west of Britain.
