Nero’s Palace – Domus Transitoria – was brought back to life. Specialists have recreated it by computer, and those who are willing can admire the work through a virtual reality headset.
Domus Transitoria was the palace of Nero, which allowed emperor to move between Palatine and Esquiline. The building was richly decorated in frescos and made of colorful marbles from Italy, Egypt, Greece and Turkey.
With the help of goggles, we can see the beautifully decorated walls of the palace or the reconstruction of Nimphaeum – a garden with fountains.
The remains of the palace re opened to visitors from April 12th; after years of renovation work.
