Curiosities of ancient Rome (Artifact)

Roman oil lamp (lucerna) with the image of a horse. The object is made of terracotta; dated to II-IV century CE. The artifact was found in Ritopek, near Belgrade (Serbia); nowadays it can be admired in a museum in Belgrade.

Engraving in red carnelian showing the winged goddess. Roman object dated to the 4th century CE; found in Veliko Gradište, in eastern Serbia. Currently, located in the local museum.

In 2019, in southern Turkey, while working on the land, gigantic mosaic was discovered. From the information provided, it appears that this is probably a bath complex, and one of the mosaics has an estimated size of 149 m2. The property is located in the ancient city of Antiochia ad Cragum. Today these are around the city of Gazipasa.
