Roman bronze bust showing a certain Caius Norbanus Sorex – a Roman actor. The object is dated to 25 BCE – 14 CE.
The man’s bust was part of a herma , a column decorated with a sculpture. The artifact was found in the Temple of Isis area in Pompeii .
Sorex lived in Italy and operated mainly in Pompeii and Nemi during the reign of Emperor Octavian Augustus (27 BCE – 14 CE).
