The picture shows rooms from the discovered home in Rome of a high-ranked Roman military commander. As you can see, the floors are covered with beautiful mosaics, and according to the researchers, totally domus counted 14 chambers.
It is suspected that the owner of the house or its inhabitant was the Prefect of the Praetorian Guard during the reign of Emperor Hadrian (117-138 CE). The discovery took place in March this year during construction works under the new underground line “C” in Rome.
