Roman mosaic depicting a swastika, located in the remains of the imperial palace in the Gamzigrad – Felix Romuliana complex, around Zaječar in eastern Serbia. The object dates to the 3rd-4th century CE.
Felix Romuliana was the residence of the Emperor Galerius (293-311 CE) and a fortified complex of palaces, temples, basilicas and other public buildings. The complex was named after the mother of the emperor. The complex is surrounded by defensive walls, which includes 20 towers. The complex covered an area of approximately 6.5 hectares and has still not been fully explored.
