Visible damage to Colosseum, caused by earthquake
The photo shows cracks in the walls of the Colosseum that are the result of an earthquake that struck Rome in 1349.
As a result of the aforementioned disaster, the external facade of the amphitheater collapsed and the internal structure of the building was revealed.
