Roman perfume discovered in south of Spain

In the south of Spain, in what is now the city of Carmona (ancient Carmo), Roman perfumes were found in a tomb. The burial place certainly belonged to a rich family; urns were found in the tomb, in which the remains of six people (three women and three men) were buried.

Famous “Colchester vase” analyzed

Scientists have studied a famous Roman vessel – the “Colchester vase” – which has scenes of two gladiators fighting embossed on the walls. The object is on display at the Colchester Castle Museum in England.

In Naples (Italy) a section of the ancient Aqua Augusta aqueduct has been identified. The facility is located under the modern city and was part of one of the branches of a large aqueduct that supplied water to many cities in Campania.
