Rare gold coin has been discovered in Israel

In 2016, a tourist in eastern Galilee discovered an ancient gold coin. He noticed the discovery in the grass at the excavation site and immediately informed the appropriate services.

As it turned out, the coin was minted in 107 CE. in Rome. The find is truly unique. On the reverse, there are symbols of Roman legions and the name of the then ruler Trajan. The coin was certainly one of the many minted at that time and was intended to emphasize the emperor’s greatness.
