“Those About to Die” – new series set in ancient Rome

Recently, it was announced that a new series called “Those About to Die” is being created, which will take place in ancient Rome.

So far, we know that the film will feature m.in. Anthony Hopkins to play Emperor Vespasian. The director of the production will be Roland Emmerich, who made such films as “2012” and “Independence Day”. Shooting is due to start this year in Italy.

As far as I know, the series is based on a book with the same title and is supposed to show, apart from intrigue and politics, also mainly gladiator fights.
