North-west of Pompeii are located ancient suburbs, where archaeologists intend to start excavations. Specifically, researchers want to focus on the villa called Civita Giuliana.
This area was known in ancient times for the production of wine and olive oil. In the 20th century, 15 rooms were discovered in the villa, some of which were intended for industrial use. New excavations have revealed a rectangular structure with square rooms. In turn, the remains of furniture or animal remains were found in them.
