In Crete, a Greek theater dating back to the first century CE, i.e. the time of Roman rule, was discovered. The object was found in the southwestern part of the island, near the remains of the temple of Asclepius (Aesculapius), the god of medicine.

In England, a real treasure was recently discovered – from 6 to 8 thousand Roman coins. The discovery was made by a private prospector and the find is currently being examined by archaeologists at the museum, where it will undergo recounting and conservation. At the moment, it can be added that most of the coins come from the period between 310-330 CE.

Modelling it on the Roman Villa Adriana in Italy – the place where Emperor Hadrian rested – they placed Roman statues around the pool, which they bought at an auction. Now, these items will be available for purchase at auction.

In Rome’s largest and oldest catacombs, researchers have discovered 1,600-year-old frescoes by early Christians.

In 2017, scientists discovered cat’s paw prints on a Roman roof tile from the 1st century CE. The discovery took place in eastern England, during construction work for a new road.
