As part of the Black Sea Maritime Archaeological Project – conducted since 2015 – scientists have discovered 60 exceptionally well-preserved ancient and medieval ships at the bottom of the Black Sea.
In 2017, 35-year-old amateur historian Mike Smale discovered a 2,000-year-old Roman hoard of 600 coins on the farm. The discovery took place in Bridport, in the south of England.
At the end of the 19th century, near the German town of Borg, the remains of a Roman country villa (villa rustica) were found. The facility consisted of three wings, covering an area of 7.5 hectares. In 1994, a project was launched to recreate the appearance of the building from the 2nd-3rd century CE. In 2008, the work was completed and tourists can admire the magnificent work.

In 2017, on the Swedish island of Öland (in the southeast of the country), there are the remains of the Sandby borg fort, where scientists discovered gold rings and coins. As it turned out, the objects come from Roman culture.
In southern Spain, in the city of Antequera, the remains of a Roman necropolis were found, which date back to the 1st-2nd century CE.
In 2017, an approximately 1,800-year-old Roman theatre was discovered in Jerusalem’s Old City adjacent to the Western Wall. The object was probably built during the reign of Emperor Hadrian (117-138 CE).
