There was an accidental discovery in the Spanish city of Cadiz (Spain). After a storm that passed through the local Cortadura beach, the inhabitants found the remains of a Roman aqueduct and a stone road.
In 2018, leather belts dating back to CE 120 were discovered near Hadrian’s Wall, which served as boxing gloves in ancient times. As it turns out, these are the only surviving objects of this type, despite the fact that, as evidenced by Roman mosaics, frescoes and sculptures, sports in ancient Rome were popular.
During the construction works carried out in the city of Rastan in Syria, a very well-preserved, beautiful Roman mosaic was discovered. The mosaic is 120 square meters and shows scenes from the Trojan War or Roman mythology.

In 2018, in Rome, during the construction of the metro, an ancient military complex with additional rooms probably belonging to the commander was discovered. Nowhere in the world does metro construction last as long as in Rome. As the shovels dig into the ground, it is almost certain that they will find ancient remains.
